'JOY' handprinted letterpress print

Simple typographic print of meaningful words

This print has been created by hand. Using vintage wooden type blocks. Hand set, hand inked, and then handprinted using eco-friendly professional printing inks onto lovely heavyweight paper. The gorgeous gold printing ink is available on lovely white textured watercolour paper.

Each one is printed by hand, by me, in my Yorkshire studio. Because all my prints are printed by hand this makes every single one of them a unique reproduction, and subtle variations will occur from print to print in detail. Which is the whole beauty of the process and creation of handmade prints - no two prints are ever exactly the same! You get a piece of art that is individual and unique.

This print is an open edition print, and is signed on the reverse by me in pencil.

Medium: Original linocut print - hand cut, hand inked, hand pressed

Paper size: 10.5 x 14.8 cms (which fits a standard frame size)

Ink: Professional gold printmakers ink

Paper: A lovely heavyweight white, textured, 300gsm, acid-free paper

Edition size: Open edition

Signed and editioned in pencil by the artist (me!).

Packaging: All my prints come unframed, with a protective card backing, and wrapped in a clear protective compostable & biodegradable alternative to cellophane. No plastic here! Then packed inside a card backed envelope.

Postage: Prints are sent on a tracked service within the UK.

Planet: I want my print making to have the least impact on the plant as possible. So I use professional UK made vegetable oil based eco-friendly printmaking inks (and no solvents are used in the studio). All prints are sent to you in plastic-free packaging too.
